A unique Tea Garden in Nuwara Eliya for tourists

Tea Gardens

If Sri Lanka reminds you of great tea, then this one is for you. Sri Lankan tourism promotion bureau has, in association with Sri Lanka Tea Board, created a unique tea garden at Nuwara Eliya, to showcase the rich tea cultivation and Sri Lankan tea products. Situated at around 2,000 meters above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations, Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. Since the introduction of tea to Sri Lanka in mid-19th century, Nuwara Eliya has been the capital of the tea industry. The Tea Garden aims to provide a unique authentic Sri Lankan Tea experience to the tourists, both domestic and foreign, inclusive of High Tea, Tea demonstrations, Pop up Tea Museum, Strawberry Kiosk and entertainment.

The High tea experience will portray a thematic experience with delectable snacks offered at the venue. Sri Lanka Tea Board has made arrangements to provide education on types of tea along with tea demonstrations, visuals and especially dedicated pop up tea museum with knowledgeable staff from the Tea Board to share information under one roof. Farm fresh strawberries with tantalizing combinations are also part of the delectable fare on offer.

Sri Lanka has been known to produce great quality tea and tea products for over more than two centuries and it is this aspect that the Tourism board is utilizing to enhance the tourist experience. While in Sri Lanka, the most preferred destination to stay would be Ramada Katunayake, a premiere hotel in Colombo, only 10 mins away from Colombo International Airport. Book your vacation in Sri Lanka and partake of this unique experience.
